UAE President Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Attends China-Arab States Cooperation Forum
UAE President Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan recently attended the 10th Ministerial Meeting of the China-Arab States Cooperation Forum in Beijing, China. During the meeting, Sheikh Mohamed reaffirmed the UAE’s commitment to working with its Arab neighbors to enhance Arab-Chinese cooperation for the benefit of all parties involved.
The opening session of the Ministerial Meeting saw Sheikh Mohamed delivering a speech in which he expressed gratitude to Chinese President Xi Jinping for hosting and chairing the event. He also commended the efforts made in preparation for the meeting and expressed confidence in China’s continued development and growth under President Xi’s leadership.
Sheikh Mohamed emphasized the importance of unity and solidarity in the face of common challenges, stating that concerted efforts and international cooperation are essential for the advancement of countries and the prosperity of future generations. He highlighted the need for collaboration to address escalating tensions in the Middle East, particularly in the Gaza Strip, where ongoing conflict has resulted in dire humanitarian conditions.
The UAE President called for immediate international efforts to achieve a ceasefire in Gaza, provide protection for its residents, and ensure the flow of humanitarian aid to the region. He stressed the urgency of pursuing a just and comprehensive peace based on the two-state solution in the Middle East.
The meeting also served as a platform to strengthen the already distinguished relations between China and Arab countries, with Sheikh Mohamed underscoring the mutual commitment to elevating Arab-Chinese cooperation to new heights. He expressed confidence that the outcomes of the meeting would enhance coordination and cooperation between Arab nations and China.
Accompanying Sheikh Mohamed on his state visit to China is a high-level UAE delegation, including Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Hazza Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and Minister of Energy and Infrastructure Suhail Mohamed Al Mazrouei, among others.
The visit to China underscores the UAE’s commitment to fostering strong partnerships with key international allies and advancing cooperation on regional and global issues. Sheikh Mohamed’s participation in the China-Arab States Cooperation Forum reflects the UAE’s proactive approach to diplomacy and its dedication to promoting peace, stability, and prosperity in the Middle East and beyond.
