President of Uzbekistan meets with Suhail Al Mazrouei to discuss strong economic relationship between countries – Global Relations Highlighted

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan welcomed Suhail bin Mohammed Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, and his delegation on their visit to Uzbekistan. The meeting, attended by UAE Ambassador Dr. Saeed Matar Al Qemzi, focused on strengthening cooperation in various sectors, including renewable energy, transport, and logistics.

Al Mazrouei led a high-level delegation to Uzbekistan, engaging in discussions with key ministers and officials to explore opportunities for collaboration between the two countries. Meetings were held with Uzbekistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry, Minister of Energy, Minister of Transport, and Deputy Prime Minister.

During the discussions, Al Mazrouei emphasized the UAE’s commitment to enhancing bilateral relations, particularly in energy, renewable energy, infrastructure, and transport. He also expressed interest in Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (TAQA) investing in renewable energy projects in Uzbekistan.

The UAE delegation, comprising officials from government agencies and the private sector, included representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, Ministry of Economy, AD Ports Group, Etihad Rail, Mubadala, EDGE, Abu Dhabi Sustainable Water Solutions Company, and Masdar.

The visit underscores the mutual interest of both countries in expanding cooperation and fostering partnerships in key areas of development. The discussions pave the way for future collaborations that will benefit the economies and people of Uzbekistan and the UAE.
