Microsoft Build 2024 is set to be a groundbreaking event focused on the theme of “How will AI shape your future?” The conference, happening just a week after Google I/O, will showcase upcoming AI technologies for consumers, enterprises, and developers.

Scheduled for May 21, Microsoft Build 2024 will be held in Seattle and costs $2,125 to attend in person. However, the event can also be attended virtually for free, with live streaming available on the Microsoft Developer YouTube channel. Leading up to the event, Microsoft has scheduled a closed-door event to showcase next-generation AI PCs, potentially powered by the Snapdragon X Elite and Snapdragon X Plus processors.

Attendees can expect a range of announcements at Build 2024, including software and hardware-related AI updates. This may include new features on Windows 11 and a possible preview of the next version, Windows 12.

Consumers can anticipate the debut of ARM-based Windows PCs featuring the Snapdragon X Elite and Snapdragon X Plus processors. Microsoft and OEMs like Dell, Samsung, and Lenovo are expected to showcase their first set of ARM-powered Windows PCs.

Additionally, leaks suggest the unveiling of new Surface laptops, specifically the Surface Pro 10 and Surface Laptop 6, with both x86-based and ARM-based models. New Windows 11 features like AI Explorer and native AI experiences running without cloud support are also anticipated.
