The 2024 West Coast Conference Men’s Tennis Tournament is set to kick off in San Diego, Calif., at the Aztec Tennis Center on the San Diego State campus from April 25-27. San Diego and Pepperdine are entering the tournament as WCC Co-Regular Season Champions, with San Diego earning the No. 1 seed after defeating Pepperdine in a head-to-head matchup.
San Diego, ranked No. 16 in the latest ITA rankings, will be the team to watch as they aim to defend their title. The tournament will feature six teams, including Pacific, LMU, Santa Clara, and Portland. The action begins on Thursday with exciting matchups between the Tigers and the Pilots, as well as the Lions and the Broncos.
USD’s Oliver Tarvet, ranked No. 6 in singles, will be a key player to watch as he leads his team into the tournament. Last season, Pepperdine ended San Diego’s seven-year streak of WCC tournament championships, and both teams went on to compete in the NCAA Tournament.
