Putin’s ally warns that Ukraine could provoke a large-scale war with Russia involving the West

Reading Time: < 1 minute

The escalating tensions between Russia and Ukraine have raised concerns of a potential global catastrophe, with the speaker of Russia’s lower house of parliament warning that Ukraine is dragging the United States and Europe into a major war.

Vyacheslav Volodin, a close ally of President Vladimir Putin, expressed his concerns about the situation, stating that the Kyiv regime is pushing for the use of U.S.-supplied weapons to strike Russian territory. He emphasized the need for Western leaders to act responsibly to avoid a tragedy that could impact all of humanity.

In response, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken reiterated that the United States has not encouraged or enabled strikes outside of Ukraine, but ultimately, Ukraine must make its own decisions regarding the conflict. However, Ukraine argues that it has the right to defend itself against Russian attacks.

Both Putin and U.S. President Joe Biden have warned that a direct confrontation between Russia and the U.S.-led NATO alliance could lead to World War Three. Russia has also cautioned against the use of Western weapons on Russian targets, threatening a new level of confrontation.

As tensions continue to rise, the international community is closely monitoring the situation, with fears of a potential global conflict looming. The need for diplomatic solutions and responsible actions from all parties involved is crucial to prevent a catastrophic outcome.
