QNET Celebrates World Health Day with Health and Wellness Event in Accra

QNET, a global wellness and lifestyle-focused direct-selling company, recently organized a health and wellness event in Accra to celebrate this year’s World Health Day. The event, held at the Marriot Hotel on Friday 5th April, 2024, brought together stakeholders from the media, academia, medical practice, and the fitness industry.

The theme for this year’s World Health Day is “My Health, My Right,” which aligns perfectly with QNET’s theme for the month of April: “Championing Health.” Naana Quartey, QNET’s Legal Counsel for sub-Saharan Africa, highlighted the company’s commitment to impacting millions of lives worldwide through their range of life-enhancing products in health, wellness, lifestyle, and education.

During the event, Dr. Justina Owusu, a health and nutrition researcher from the University of Ghana, emphasized the negative impact of illegal mining activities on soil and vegetation. She explained how dangerous chemical elements released into the soil could affect crop growth and deprive people of essential nutrients needed for optimal body function.

Dr. Frank Marful from the Nyaho Medical Centre provided insights on the nutritional elements most Ghanaians need and how they can be easily derived. Additionally, health and fitness enthusiasts led participants through simple yet effective exercise routines.

In her closing remarks, Ms. Quartey emphasized QNET’s commitment to social responsibility, ethical standards, and quality products. The company’s sponsorship of renowned sporting entities like Manchester City Football Club and the CAF African Club League Championships further solidifies their position as a dynamic force for good in the direct-selling industry.
