Quad-Cities businesses opening and closing: Disc Replay and Starbucks

Disc Replay, a popular media and entertainment store, has made a big move in Davenport. The store has closed its location at NorthPark Mall and will now be relocating to 5254 Elmore Ave., in the former home of Plato’s Closet. This new location is situated between the new Plato’s Closet and Verizon, offering customers a convenient one-stop-shop experience.

According to Jake Allen, co-owner and general manager of Disc Replay, the move was prompted by an opportunity to create an ultimate buying and selling experience for customers. With Plato’s Closet and Style Encore (coming later this year) also owned by the same owner, the new location will cater to a wide range of interests for the whole family.

All staff from the previous location will be transferring to the new store, with the addition of one new employee. Despite being smaller in size, the new location on Elmore aligns better with existing locations and will still be the largest Disc Replay store in the area.

A grand reopening event is scheduled for 10 a.m. on Sunday, May 25, featuring giveaways, new releases, and appearances by local radio stations 101.3 KISS FM and I-Rock 93.5. Customers can expect the same great selection of media and entertainment products at the new location, with no cuts to existing categories. The move signifies an exciting new chapter for Disc Replay in Davenport.
