India’s Radha Yadav shines as India sweeps Bangladesh in T20 series

In a thrilling fifth T20I match between India and Bangladesh, Radha Yadav’s impressive bowling performance, coupled with Richa Ghosh’s quickfire innings, led India to a 21-run victory and a clean sweep of the series.

Yadav, who took 3/24, wreaked havoc on Bangladesh’s top-order, leaving them struggling to chase down a target of 157 runs. Despite a valiant effort from Ritu Moni and Shorifa Khatun, who put on a 57-run partnership for the sixth wicket, Bangladesh fell short and finished at 135 for six in their 20 overs.

Ghosh’s unbeaten 28 off 17 balls provided the much-needed impetus for India after a shaky start, with skipper Harmanpreet Kaur and Dayalan Hemalatha also contributing with the bat.

Yadav’s stellar performance throughout the series earned her the title of the highest wicket-taker with 10 dismissals in five games, while Smriti Mandhana’s consistent batting display saw her amass 116 runs in the series.

The match was not short of drama, with twists and turns keeping fans on the edge of their seats until the very end. With this victory, India showcased their dominance in the T20 format and will be looking to carry this momentum forward into future series.

The series sweep against Bangladesh is a testament to India’s strength and depth in women’s cricket, and it sets a positive tone for their upcoming fixtures.
