Raiders Dominate Vermilion in College Softball Matchup – Brainerd Dispatch

The Central Lakes College Raiders had a dominant performance on Friday, April 12, as they swept Vermilion in a doubleheader with a combined score of 29-1. The highlight of the day was a no-hitter thrown by pitchers Kaitlyn Geschwill and McKenna Miller in Game One.

Geschwill started the game strong, striking out three batters over two innings, while Miller closed it out with one strikeout and was just one hit batter away from a perfect game. Emma Simon added to the excitement with a grand slam, finishing 2-3 with two runs.

In Game Two, Emma Tautges took the mound and continued the pitching excellence, striking out five batters and allowing only one earned run over five innings. She also contributed at the plate, going 3-3 with two doubles, two RBIs, and a run scored.

The Raiders’ offense was firing on all cylinders, with multiple players contributing to the run total. Gabby Dulas, Geschwill, and Miller all had strong performances at the plate, helping the team secure their 10th straight win.

With the victories, Central Lakes College improved to 13-11 overall and remains undefeated in the North Division with a 6-0 record. Their next challenge will be against Hibbing on Sunday, April 14. The Raiders are looking to continue their winning streak and maintain their spot at the top of the division standings.
