Rainy weather expected to affect large parts of the Middle East from Palestine to the Sultanate of Oman | ArabiaWeather

Reading Time: 2 minutes

A rainy condition is set to cover large parts of the Middle East in the coming days, starting from Palestine to the Sultanate of Oman. The Arab Regional Weather Center has issued a warning about the impact of this rainy situation, which is expected to expand in the coming days across the Arab Levant and the northern Arabian Peninsula.

The weather readings indicate that an air depression in the high air layers of the northern Arabian Peninsula will remain in the region for several days, accompanied by a cold air front. This, combined with diurnal heating, will support the formation of cumulus clouds in the afternoon, along with the flow of tropical moisture towards the region.

The impact of the rainy situation on the countries of the Middle East will be significant. Starting on Sunday, April 28, the rainy situation will expand over large parts of the north, center, and west of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as well as various parts of the Levant, with random showers of rain and thunderstorms expected.

On Monday, April 29, the rainy condition will intensify in the west of Saudi Arabia, as well as in parts of the Levant, Iraq, and Kuwait. By Tuesday, April 30, the depression deepens in the high layers of the atmosphere, leading to intensified rainfall over large parts of the Levant, Iraq, and Saudi Arabia, as well as parts of Kuwait, Qatar, and Bahrain.

As the week progresses, the upper air depression will move eastward, with the impact of the rainy condition decreasing in some areas while intensifying in others. By Thursday, May 2, the depression will continue its movement towards the east, with the rainy condition intensifying in the Emirates and northern Oman.

The weather phenomena accompanying the rainy season are expected to be strong, with heavy rains increasing the chances of flash floods in some areas. Thick cumulus thunderstorm clouds may lead to severe downward winds, causing temporary sand or dust storms and reducing visibility. Lightning and severe lightning strikes are also expected.

Residents of the affected areas are advised to take precautions and stay updated on the latest weather forecasts. The rainy condition is a natural phenomenon that can bring much-needed relief to the region, but it is important to be prepared for any potential hazards that may arise. Stay safe and stay informed as the rainy season sweeps across the Middle East.
