Rajasthan Royals cruise to seven-wicket victory over Lucknow Super Giants in IPL 2024, thanks to Samson and Jurel

In a thrilling match-up between Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at the Ekana International Cricket Stadium in Lucknow, Sanju Samson and Dhruv Jurel stole the show with their brilliant partnership, leading RR to a seven-wicket victory.

Chasing a target of 197, RR found themselves in a tough spot at 78 for three when Samson and Jurel came together. Their unbeaten 121-run partnership turned the game around and put RR on the brink of playoffs qualification.

Jurel had a stroke of luck when he was dropped twice by LSG fielders, but he made the most of it by scoring a quickfire 52 off 34 balls. Samson, on the other hand, played a captain’s knock with an unbeaten 71 off just 31 balls, including seven boundaries and four sixes.

On the other hand, LSG’s K.L Rahul played a brilliant knock of 76 off 48 balls, but his efforts were not enough to secure a win for his team. Despite a strong start, LSG faltered in the middle overs and failed to defend their total against RR’s strong batting line-up.
