Rajasthan Royals’ Performance in IPL Playoffs: Win/Loss Record, Player Stats for Most Runs and Wickets

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Rajasthan Royals has once again made it to the playoffs of the Indian Premier League (IPL) after finishing at the 3rd spot in the points table for the 2024 season. Led by Sanju Samson, the team has secured eight wins and five losses in 14 games, setting up an Eliminator clash against Royal Challengers Bengaluru on May 22 in Ahmedabad.

This marks the sixth time that Rajasthan Royals has qualified for the IPL playoffs in the 17 seasons of the tournament. The team’s most memorable playoff run came in the inaugural year of the IPL in 2008 when they clinched the title by winning both the semifinal and final matches. However, since then, RR has struggled to replicate that success, with their only other final appearance in 2022 resulting in a loss to Gujarat Titans.

In their playoff history, Rajasthan Royals have played a total of 9 matches, winning 4 and losing 5. Their highest score in a playoff match came in the 2008 semifinal against Delhi Daredevils when they posted 192/9 in 20 overs. On the other hand, their lowest score was 109/10 in 19 overs against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the 2015 Eliminator.

Key players for RR in IPL playoffs include Jos Buttler, who has scored 234 runs in 3 innings, and Shane Watson, who has taken 6 wickets in 5 innings. As Rajasthan Royals gear up for their Eliminator clash, fans are hopeful that the team can make a strong push towards the IPL title once again.
