Range Sports and New York Mets Sign Content Deal

Reading Time: < 1 minute

The New York Mets are expanding their content business with a new partnership with Range Sports, a division of Range Media Partners. This collaboration will focus on creating short-form digital content that highlights off-field storytelling around the team, players, and the culture of Mets fans.

This is not the first time the Mets have teamed up with Range, as they previously signed a brand bolstering deal in 2021. The team’s owner, Steve Cohen, who also owns a minority stake in Range Media, sees this partnership as an opportunity to attract new fans and increase cultural awareness of the Mets brand.

Mets president of business operations, M. Scott Havens, expressed excitement about the collaboration, stating, “We see tremendous opportunity in developing original, off-the-field content that lies at the intersection of sports and lifestyle and provides new marketing opportunities for our brand partners.”

Range Sports co-presidents, Will Funk and Greg Luckman, emphasized the importance of content in engaging fans and creating new revenue streams for sports organizations. They are thrilled to partner with the Mets to explore new storytelling opportunities and build monetization strategies.

With sports leagues and teams increasingly investing in content creation to drive interest and revenue, the Mets are positioning themselves to capitalize on this trend. By leveraging Range Sports’ expertise, the team aims to enhance its brand presence and connect with a broader audience through compelling storytelling.
