Rashmika Mandanna, the leading lady of the blockbuster film “Animal,” has finally broken her silence on the backlash she received for her dialogues in the Karwa Chauth scene. Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the film starring Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna crossed the Rs 900 crore milestone in box office earnings, despite facing criticism for various aspects.

In a recent interview on No Filter Neha, Rashmika opened up about the trolling she faced for her intense dialogue delivery in the Karwa Chauth scene. She revealed that while shooting the nine-minute long scene, the crew on set applauded her performance. However, when the trailer was released, she was bombarded with negative comments on social media, making her question her acting abilities.

The actress expressed her astonishment at the stark difference between the positive feedback on set and the online trolling. She emphasized the importance of staying grounded and connected to reality amidst such experiences.

Addressing the allegations of misogyny in the film, Rashmika defended the character-driven storyline, highlighting the flawed nature of the protagonist. She explained that the film portrays a raw and real depiction of a character willing to go to any length for his father.

Despite the initial controversies, “Animal” emerged as a commercial success, paving the way for a sequel titled “Animal Park,” currently in the works. Rashmika is set to reprise her role in the upcoming installment, solidifying the film’s status as a blockbuster franchise.
