Reasons for ‘Vanderpump Rules’ Season 12 Production Pause During Summer

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Bravo’s hit reality series “Vanderpump Rules” is shaking things up with a change in its production schedule for season 12. According to TMZ, the upcoming season will not begin filming this summer as usual. Instead, the network has decided to give the cast a break to let their lives breathe after the scandal involving Tom Sandoval in the spring of 2023.

Sources revealed that the decision to delay filming was also influenced by Ariana Madix’s hosting gig on “Love Island USA,” which will take her to Fiji for a few months. While the exact start date for production has not been announced, it is expected to resume at some point in the future, with Bravo remaining tight-lipped about the details.

Andy Cohen, host of “Watch What Happens Live” and EP of the “Real Housewives” franchise, weighed in on the schedule change, noting that it’s not uncommon for Bravo shows to take a break and resume filming later. He emphasized the importance of allowing the cast to live their lives and experience new developments before returning to the cameras.

When “Vanderpump Rules” does return for season 12, fans can expect to see major developments, including the opening of Katie Maloney and Ariana Madix’s sandwich shop, Something About Her, and Lala Kent’s second child expected in early September. Additionally, viewers will witness how the Toms’ (Schwartz and Sandoval) new relationships unfold, along with Lisa Vanderpump’s second season of “Vanderpump Villa” on Hulu.

With the promise of fresh drama and exciting updates, fans of “Vanderpump Rules” will have plenty to look forward to when the show returns for its twelfth season.
