Jamestown High School’s flag football team had an impressive victory on Monday, defeating Sweet Home with a final score of 34-9. The star of the game was Ella Propheter, who completed 14 of 16 passes for 147 yards and three touchdowns, in addition to rushing for 70 yards. Kate Kathman also had a standout performance, catching four passes for 90 yards and two touchdowns, including a 33-yarder.

The Red & Green team, now 1-1 overall and 1-0 in the league, showcased a strong offense and defense. Kaylee Leeper ran 12 times for 37 yards, while Abbee Brandow caught a 33-yard touchdown pass. Propheter led the defense with six flag pulls and a 44-yard interception return for a touchdown. Leeper also contributed with a 29-yard interception return for a touchdown. Kayamara Strudwick had five flag pulls, and both Karlee Rock and Dainys Cruz added interceptions to the team’s impressive defensive effort.

The team’s next challenge will be against West Seneca in another league game on Thursday. With their recent success and strong performances from key players, Jamestown High School’s flag football team is looking to continue their winning streak and make a mark in the league.
