The Boston Red Sox secured a 4-2 victory over the struggling Pittsburgh Pirates on Saturday, thanks to a stellar performance from pitcher Kutter Crawford. Crawford allowed just one run in six innings, striking out six batters and walking three. The 28-year-old right-hander has been in top form this season, with an impressive 0.66 ERA.

The Red Sox, who had been on a losing streak before this series, managed to clinch the first two games against the Pirates. On the other hand, Pittsburgh continued to struggle, losing their fifth consecutive game and eighth in their last 10 games after a strong start to the season.

Pirates ace Mitch Keller had a tough outing, giving up four runs on five hits and four walks in six innings. Masataka Yoshida’s two-run homer in the sixth inning proved to be the difference-maker for the Red Sox.
