Registration for Saranac Lake youth baseball and softball now available | Stay updated with the latest news, sports, and job opportunities

The Saranac Lake Youth Baseball and Softball Association is gearing up for an exciting 2024 season, with registration now open for interested players. Parents and guardians can sign up their kids for T-Ball, Rookie, Majors, and Minors softball and baseball on the league’s website. The registration deadline is April 28, so families are encouraged to sign up soon to ensure their children get their team jerseys and hats on time.

The registration cost remains the same as last year at $50 per player, with discounts available for families registering multiple players. Financial assistance is also available upon request. The league offers play at various levels based on age and grade, ranging from T-ball for 5-6 year olds to Majors Softball for girls in grades 6-8.

The season will kick off with Saturday clinics for T-ball and Rookie levels in May, followed by team formations and evening games and practices after Memorial Day. Minors and Majors Baseball and Softball teams will start practicing in early May, with games scheduled to begin the week of Memorial Day.

Volunteers are crucial to the success of the SLYBSA, with opportunities available for coaches, field crew, and umpires. Sponsorship opportunities are also open for those interested in supporting the league. Additionally, the SLYBSA will participate in the Memorial Day Parade and host the Memorial Day Classic at its fields, along with movie nights as a fundraiser.
