Remedy announces the release of Alan Wake 2 Night Springs expansion and physical editions

Remedy Entertainment, the Helsinki-based company behind the popular game Alan Wake, has announced the release of the highly anticipated Alan Wake 2 Night Springs expansion downloadable content (DLC). The expansion will introduce physical editions for Alan Wake 2, a new photo mode, and a thrilling new adventure in Bright Falls on the PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.

In this new expansion, players will delve back into the mysterious and ever-twisting world of the Dark Place, where protagonist Alan Wake finds himself trapped and seeking an escape through his imagination. As players navigate through the surreal journey of Night Springs, they will encounter familiar yet transformed settings with new twists and turns, including playable arcade games and text-based adventures.

Night Springs offers players the opportunity to embody several fan-favorite characters through three unique episodes, each providing a different perspective on the Alan Wake universe. From manipulating time as the Time Breaker to unraveling cosmic mysteries in the North Star, players will be immersed in a world where reality blurs with fiction.

To access the Night Springs expansion, players must have the main game in the form of the Deluxe Edition, which includes the Expansion Pass. The Expansion Pass, included in the digital Deluxe Edition and forthcoming physical Deluxe and Collector’s Editions, grants players access to both Night Springs and the upcoming second expansion, The Lake House.

Additionally, the expansion introduces new trophies and achievements for players to unlock, as well as a Photo Mode available through a free update on June 8. Players can capture stunning moments in-game with a variety of camera settings and effects.

Pre-orders for the physical Deluxe Edition and Limited Collector’s Edition will begin on June 8, with the Deluxe Edition set to release on October 22, 2024, and the Collector’s Edition in November 2024. Both editions come packed with exclusive items and collectibles, making them a must-have for fans of the Alan Wake series.
