Renowned Country Songwriter John Schweers Passes Away at 78, Known for Hit Song “Amazing Love”

John Schweers, a beloved songwriter and San Antonio native, passed away at the age of 78 on Tuesday, May 28. Schweers, known for his legendary songwriting in the country music world, left behind a legacy of countless hits that have shaped the genre.

From Charley Pride to Trace Adkins, Schweers’ songwriting credits include hits that have stood the test of time.
