Indians Embrace Tech Innovations in the Workplace, Report Reveals

A recent report titled ‘Tomorrow’s World: The Workplace and Workforce of the Future’ has shed light on the confidence and readiness of Indian professionals to adapt to changes brought about by technological innovations in the workplace. According to the report, Indians are the most confident among 11 countries surveyed in adapting to these changes.

The report, conducted by global job site Indeed, revealed that 54 per cent of workers in India anticipate a significant shift in their roles within the next five years. Despite this, a staggering 95 per cent of professionals expressed confidence in their ability to adapt to these changes.

The survey, conducted by global market research firm YouGov on behalf of Indeed, collected data from 16,671 working professionals, including employees, employers, and HR decision-makers. The findings highlighted India’s optimism towards technology and artificial intelligence (AI), with 75 per cent of respondents expressing confidence in the transformative potential of tech advancements.

Furthermore, the report indicated that Indians believe in the creation of more jobs through AI-related opportunities, with over 44 per cent of respondents sharing this sentiment. Indeed India’s Head of Sales, Sashi Kumar, emphasized the country’s readiness to embrace the future of work, driven by a profound belief in technological innovation.

The report also highlighted the proactive stance of Indian employees towards career learning and development, with 53 per cent having upskilled to acquire longer-term skills in the last three years. This readiness to adapt and evolve in the face of technological advancements positions India at the forefront of embracing the future of work.
