Report Ranks US Airlines of 2024 from Best to Worst

In a recent report by WalletHub, the top U.S. Airlines for 2024 have been ranked, shedding light on the challenges faced by the aviation industry. With issues like rising ticket prices and safety concerns, choosing a domestic airline has become more complex than ever.

Alaska Airlines emerged as the top airline with a score of 68.07 out of 100, dethroning Delta Airlines which held the title for the past two years. Delta Airlines, however, tied with JetBlue Airlines for the most comfortable airline, offering amenities like free Wi-Fi and extra legroom.

The ranking considered 13 different factors across three major categories – baggage and departures, in-flight comfort and cost, and safety. Airlines were graded on a scale of 100 based on metrics such as canceled flights, mishandled baggage reports, legroom, and Wi-Fi availability.

Skywest Airlines secured the second position with a score of 65.96 out of 100, followed by Spirit Airlines in third place with a score of 65.69 out of 100. Southwest Airlines, Frontier Airlines, American Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines, Jetblue Airlines, United Airlines, and Delta Airlines rounded out the rest of the rankings.
