Samsung is reportedly gearing up to host its next Unpacked event on July 10, where it is expected to unveil the highly anticipated Galaxy Z Fold and Flip series devices, along with the debut of the Galaxy Ring. The South Korean electronics giant is rumored to be hosting the event in Paris, France, moving the date up to early July to avoid clashing with the Olympic Games starting on July 26.
At the event, Samsung is set to showcase its next-generation foldable smartphones, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6. Reports suggest that the top-end model in the Galaxy Z Fold 6 series may carry the “Ultra” prefix, similar to the Galaxy S-series smartphones. This comes as a surprise to earlier speculations of Samsung working on an affordable foldable device for its Galaxy A-series lineup.
In addition to the foldable devices, Samsung is also expected to introduce the Galaxy Ring, a wearable fitness tracker that was previously showcased at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The Galaxy Ring is said to feature advanced health monitoring functions such as blood flow measurement and electrocardiogram (ECG) capabilities. It will also offer remote control of other Samsung smart devices and support wireless payments.
While Samsung has not officially confirmed any specific details about the devices, it has revealed that the Galaxy Ring will be available in black, gold, and silver colors, and in nine different sizes. Tech enthusiasts and Samsung fans are eagerly awaiting the Unpacked event to get a glimpse of the latest innovations from the tech giant.
