The company has announced plans to deploy quantum-safe software across its entire infrastructure this year, starting with a successful trial run on a 2,000-kilometer stretch of fiber optic cable between Sicily and Germany.

Cybersecurity expert Kevin Bocek praised Sparkle for being a “first mover” in implementing quantum-safe security measures, noting that this will likely become an industry standard in the near future. As the company prepares to expand these measures across its global network, including the US, Europe, the Americas, and Asia, they are setting a new standard for data protection in the telecommunications industry.
