A tragic incident in Pilibhit has left a family devastated and a community in shock after a seven-year-old boy lost his life due to food poisoning. The young boy, Rahul Kumar, was visiting his maternal grandparents in Rahul Nagar Colony when the tragedy struck.
Rahul, along with his mother Seema and siblings Vivek and Sandhya, consumed instant noodles and rice on Thursday evening. Shortly after, the entire family began to feel unwell, experiencing severe stomach pain and diarrhea. They were rushed to a private hospital and later transferred to the local Community Health Centre for further treatment.
Tragically, Rahul passed away on the way to the health centre, while Vivek’s condition remains critical. The rest of the family members, including Seema and maternal aunts Sanju and Sanjana, are still undergoing treatment at the health centre.
This heartbreaking incident serves as a stark reminder of the importance of food safety and caution, especially when consuming food from roadside vendors. Authorities are urging citizens to be vigilant about what they eat, particularly during these times, and to exercise caution.
This tragedy in Pilibhit comes on the heels of a similar incident in Mumbai, where a youth lost his life after consuming chicken shawarma. The incidents highlight the need for stricter food safety regulations and increased awareness among the public to prevent such heartbreaking losses in the future.
