Reports of suspected stabbing prompt evacuation of Sydney mall

A heroic police officer in Sydney, Australia, saved countless lives by fatally shooting a knife-wielding maniac who went on a stabbing spree inside a popular mall. The tragic incident claimed the life of a 38-year-old mother, whose 9-month-old baby was also stabbed and remains in an unknown condition.

While the motive behind the attack is still unclear, authorities are not ruling out the possibility of it being terrorist-related. The suspect acted alone, and there is no further threat to the area, according to NSW Police Assistant Commissioner Anthony Cooke.
