Results of PCHS Girls Tennis Matches – Patriot Publishing LLC

The Pulaski County High School girls tennis team had a busy week with multiple matches against tough opponents. The team faced off against Blacksburg, Carroll County, Hidden Valley, and Patrick Henry High School, with mixed results.

In the match against Blacksburg, the team unfortunately lost 1-8, with only Megan Martin securing a win in singles. However, the team bounced back in a doubleheader against Carroll County, winning both matches 9-0 and 5-0. The players showed great determination and skill in these matches, with Isabel Weigel, Tori Cantrell, and Megan Martin leading the charge.

The team then faced Hidden Valley in a resumed match, where they narrowly lost 4-5. Despite the loss, the players put up a strong fight, with Megan Martin and Abby Shockley securing wins in singles. In the second match against Hidden Valley, the team once again fell short with a final score of 4-5. However, the players showed great resilience and teamwork throughout the matches.

In their final match against Patrick Henry High School, the team unfortunately lost 0-9. Despite the tough competition, Coach Brandon Lawson expressed pride in the team’s determination and competitive spirit. With a record of 5 wins and 9 losses, the team looks forward to finishing the season strong in their upcoming matches against Cburg and Salem.
