Ribbon Cutting Ceremony Held at Hollywood Arts Collective’s Cicely Tyson Residential Building

Artists in Hollywood have a new place to call home as the Hollywood Arts Collective’s Cicely Tyson Residential Building officially opened its doors with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. The seven-story property, located at 1630 Schrader Blvd., near the Hollywood Walk of Fame, offers 151 units exclusively for artists and their families.

The event, attended by officials from developer Thomas Safran & Associates, the City of Los Angeles, and other key partners, celebrated the culmination of a 14-year journey to bring affordable housing for artists to the heart of Hollywood. The building features studios, one, two, and three-bedroom units with modern amenities, lush courtyards, and communal spaces like a community room, computer lab, library, fitness room, and more.

Speakers at the event praised the collaborative effort that made the project a reality, highlighting the perseverance and dedication of all involved. The Hollywood Arts Collective is not just a residential building but a community of storytellers, where artists can thrive and create in a vibrant environment.
