Ricciardo criticizes Stroll after crash at Chinese Grand Prix in F1

Australian driver Daniel Ricciardo expressed his frustration with Lance Stroll after a collision during the Chinese Grand Prix on Sunday. Ricciardo accused Stroll of not paying attention and causing the incident that led to his retirement from the race.

The incident occurred during a safety car restart, with cars bunching up into a hairpin turn. Stroll, driving for Aston Martin, was given a 10-second penalty for causing the collision, but he believed the punishment was unwarranted.

Ricciardo, who has yet to score in five races this season, was disappointed with the outcome as he had hoped to gain momentum in China after out-qualifying his teammate. The Australian driver is under pressure to perform well, especially after his teammate Yuki Tsunoda scored points in previous races.

Stroll, on the other hand, claimed he was in the wrong place at the wrong time and blamed a “concertina effect” for the incident. He felt that the stewards should have taken the circumstances into consideration before penalizing him.

Despite the setback, Ricciardo remains determined to bounce back in the next race in Miami. However, he will have to overcome a three-place grid drop after receiving penalty points for overtaking under safety car conditions.
