Robert F. Kennedy Jr. encourages Libertarians to disrupt Trump with rubber chickens

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and his allies are causing a stir at the Libertarian Party convention in Washington D.C. by distributing rubber chickens to attendees and encouraging them to heckle former President Trump during his speech. This move comes after Trump seemingly ignored a challenge from Kennedy earlier this month to debate at the convention.

The yellow rubber chickens, with “Debate Bobby” written on them, were handed out to convention attendees, as reported by Fox News journalist Alexis McAdams live from the convention floor at the Washington Hilton. McAdams revealed that people planned to squeeze the chickens when Trump took the stage, indicating their desire to challenge him to a debate.

Despite Trump and Biden agreeing to two debates on CNN and ABC, Kennedy has been persistent in his request to participate. However, CNN has stated that Kennedy does not meet the requirements to join the debate stage.

Kennedy’s presence in the race is seen as a potential spoiler for both candidates, with neither Trump nor Biden showing much interest in sharing a debate platform with him.

The distribution of rubber chickens and the call to heckle Trump adds a playful yet confrontational element to the convention, highlighting the tension and competition in the political arena. As the convention continues, the impact of Kennedy’s actions and the response from Trump and Biden remain to be seen.
