Valentino Rossi Shifts Gears from MotoGP to Endurance Racing

Legendary MotoGP rider Valentino Rossi may have bid farewell to the world of two-wheeled racing, but he is far from slowing down. The seven-time world champion has seamlessly transitioned to four wheels, currently competing in the World Endurance Championship with the BMW of GT3 team WRT.

Rossi’s focus is now set on the prestigious Le Mans 24-hour race, a dream he is determined to fulfill. “When I started motorsport, taking part in the Le Mans 24 Hours was my first objective because it’s the most prestigious race in the world,” Rossi shared with AFP.

Despite the stark differences between bike sprints and endurance races, Rossi is relishing the challenge and finding similarities in the two disciplines. While he may not be a frontrunner for the overall victory at Le Mans this year, Rossi’s competitive spirit remains unwavering.

The Italian racing icon is not content with just participating in GT3 races; he has his sights set on the hypercar category. Rossi’s ambition and dedication to mastering the world of race cars hint at a long-term commitment to the sport.

“I hope to continue racing for as long as possible,” Rossi affirmed. With a potential 10 more years of racing ahead of him, fans can expect to see Rossi’s enduring passion and talent shine on the track for years to come.
