Rouse and Kowalski Honored as Kingsford Athletes of the Year | Local News, Sports, Employment

Kingsford High School in Michigan recently celebrated its senior awards night, honoring the outstanding achievements of its student-athletes for the 2023-24 school year. Among the recipients were Elizin Rouse, who was named Male Athlete of the Year, and Alaina Kowalski, who received the Female Athlete of the Year award.

Rouse, a senior, also earned the title of Football Most Valuable Player for his exceptional performance on the field. Kowalski, also a senior, was recognized as the MVP of the girls basketball team for her leadership and skill on the court.

The awards ceremony highlighted the success of student-athletes across various sports, with standout performers in football, tennis, cross country, soccer, volleyball, cheerleading, basketball, hockey, wrestling, skiing, track, golf, softball, and baseball. Additionally, several students were recognized as Three Sports Season Athletes for their dedication to multiple sports throughout the year.

Notably, a group of students were also honored with the MHSAA Scholar Athlete Awards, recognizing their excellence in both academics and athletics. This prestigious award is a testament to the hard work and commitment of these student-athletes both on and off the field.
