Royal Ascot Golf Club in Berkshire is teeing off the new season with a record number of female participants, marking a significant milestone in the club’s history. With a focus on increasing accessibility and playing provisions for women, the club has seen a surge in female membership through its various initiatives and programs.

The club’s Golf Academy and Get Into Golf schemes have been instrumental in introducing new players to the game, providing them with the necessary skills and techniques to enjoy the sport. On the course, the club’s Ladies Bronze and Silver teams have achieved remarkable success, with the Bronze team winning Division One of the Berkshire Bronze County Scratch League and the Silver team exceeding expectations in the County Silver League. Ladies Captain Sharon Edwards, who had never played golf before joining the club in 2012, emphasized the importance of creating a welcoming and supportive environment for female players.
