Royal Challengers Bengaluru Defeat Gujarat Titans by Nine Wickets in IPL 2024 as Will Jacks Scores Hundred

Reading Time: < 1 minute

In a stunning display of power-hitting, Will Jacks of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru smashed an unbeaten century off just 41 balls to lead his team to a resounding nine-wicket victory over the Gujarat Titans in match 45 of the Indian Premier League 2024.

The Gujarat Titans, batting first, were propelled by Sai Sudharsan’s unbeaten 84 off 49 balls, helping them set a competitive total of 200/3. However, it was Jacks’ heroics that stole the show as he single-handedly dismantled the Titans’ bowling attack.

Initially taking his time to settle in with 17 runs off his first 17 balls, Jacks soon shifted gears and, along with Virat Kohli, took control of the game from the sixth over onwards. The England all-rounder’s onslaught included seven sixes and three fours in consecutive 29-run overs in the 15th and 16th, ultimately sealing the victory with a six to cap off his remarkable innings.

The Royal Challengers chased down the target with four overs to spare, showcasing their dominance in the match. Jacks’ century will be remembered as one of the fastest in IPL history, highlighting his exceptional talent and ability to change the course of a game single-handedly.

The win cements Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s position in the league and serves as a warning to their competitors of the destructive potential of their batting lineup. The team will look to carry this momentum forward as they aim for a strong finish in the tournament.
