RR skipper Sanju Samson opens up on his woeful run of form in IPL 2024: Embracing our failures is necessary

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Rajasthan Royals (RR) are facing a tough time in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, having suffered four consecutive losses in the league. The team, which started the season on a high note with eight wins out of nine matches, is now struggling to find their winning form.

In their recent match against Punjab Kings (PBKS), RR faced a defeat by 5 wickets at Barsapara Cricket Stadium, Guwahati. Skipper Sam Curran’s early breakthroughs put RR on the back foot, and despite efforts from players like Riyan Parag, the team could only manage a below-par total of 144 runs.

On the bowling front, RR did show some fight by taking early wickets, but PBKS captain Curran played a sensible innings to guide his team to victory.

In a post-match conference, RR skipper Sanju Samson acknowledged the team’s poor performance and emphasized the need for players to step up and deliver in crucial moments.

With their last league match against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) approaching, RR will be looking to end their campaign on a high note. The team aims to secure the second spot in the standings and carry winning momentum into the playoff stages.

As the IPL 2024 season nears its conclusion, all eyes will be on RR as they strive to turn their fortunes around and finish strong in the tournament.
