Ryan Reynolds Jokes About Taylor Swift Naming His and Blake Lively’s Fourth Baby
During a recent interview on The Today Show, Ryan Reynolds, 47, shared a hilarious joke about Taylor Swift potentially naming his and Blake Lively’s fourth child. The actor, promoting his new movie “If,” joked about the tradition of letting Taylor, 34, name their children, following the names mentioned in her song “betty.”
When asked by Savannah Guthrie if Taylor had dropped any hints about their new baby’s name in her songs, Ryan played along with the joke. He humorously stated, “We always wait for Taylor to tell us what the child’s name is. I will say this: we’re still waiting. So, Taylor, let’s maybe start—she’s a prolific writer. I mean, what are we doing here? ‘Lazy’s not a word that I attach to Taylor.”
Despite the playful banter, Ryan did not reveal the name of their youngest child, born in February 2023. The couple already has three children named James, 9, Ines, 7, and Betty, 4, whose names were mentioned in Taylor’s “betty” song from her “folklore” album.
While the characters in Taylor’s song are teenagers, Ryan and Blake’s kids are still young. The couple has been known to share a close friendship with Taylor, who has been spotted with them on various occasions. The light-hearted exchange between Ryan and Savannah provided a fun moment for fans, showcasing the playful dynamic between the actor and the singer.
