Chief Engineer in the Merchant Navy, Rajanish, embarked on a new voyage towards better health after a routine visit to an orthopedic doctor changed his perspective on his weight. Despite his active lifestyle on board, unhealthy eating habits had kept his weight anchored between 105 to 110 kilograms for the past two decades.

The doctor’s warning about potential knee issues in the future due to his weight struck a chord with Rajanish, prompting him to take action to preserve his natural knees. Setting sail on his weight loss journey a year ago, Rajanish aimed for a steady reduction of 2 to 3 kilograms per month, prioritizing sustainability and health.

Rajanish made significant changes to his diet, cutting out rice and wheat and opting for healthier options like grilled chicken, vegetables, sprout salad, and protein-rich pulses. He also limited his intake of sugar and indulged in occasional sweet treats. Additionally, he incorporated regular exercise into his routine, including gym sessions, walks, and sports like cricket and badminton.

With determination and dedication, Rajanish shed an impressive 20 kilograms in just nine months. Beyond the visible physical changes, he experienced improvements in his health markers, with his blood pressure and cholesterol levels now in the normal range.

Reflecting on his journey, Rajanish expressed his joy at not just the physical transformation but also the renewed enthusiasm for sports and the sustainable lifestyle modifications that have improved his overall well-being. His story serves as an inspiration for others looking to navigate their own path to better health.
