Salata, Rave On, and SBA Awards Highlight Lubbock Business News

Exciting developments in the food business scene have been making waves in Lubbock, with new restaurants and partnerships on the horizon. Salata Salad Kitchen and Firehouse Subs are set to join the Covenant Park development, marking the first Salata location in the area and the fourth Firehouse Subs in Lubbock. Additionally, Chicken Salad Chick is expected to open later this summer at Canyon West, adding to the diverse culinary offerings in the region.

Not to be outdone, Sushi Nami, a Japanese fusion restaurant, will also be joining the lineup at Canyon West, further expanding the dining options for residents and visitors alike. The Lubbock Entertainment and Performing Arts Association has announced a new food and beverage partnership with SAVOR, promising exciting plans for the venue, including scholarships and the reopening of Rave On.

In other news, the Small Business Administration West Texas District Office has recognized the National Small Business Week 2024 Award Winners. Marilee and Vaughn Bray of The Soda Shack were named Small Business Persons of the Year for the Lubbock region, while George and Paige Nester of Creek House Honey Farm in Canyon received the same honor for the West Texas region. Braden Clark and Donna Dorman Madison of Square Mile Community Development were awarded the community award for the Amarillo region.
