Samaira Sandhu, a prominent actor and State Icon for Lok Sabha Elections, has taken a stand to encourage the voters of Chandigarh to participate in the upcoming polls on June 1. As the city gears up for the final phase of the Lok Sabha elections, Sandhu has made a heartfelt appeal to the citizens to exercise their democratic right.

In a recent statement, Sandhu expressed her personal goal of seeing a high voter turnout in Chandigarh. She emphasized the importance of voting and urged the residents to check their names on the electoral roll and carry a government-authorized ID proof to the polling booths.

To facilitate a smooth voting process, Sandhu highlighted the availability of the Saksham app for PwD voters and the helpline number 1950 for any voting assistance needed. She also mentioned an app that allows voters to check the waiting duration at their polling booth to plan their visit accordingly.

The upcoming elections in Chandigarh will witness a fierce battle between BJP candidate Sanjay Tandon and Congress’s Manish Tewari, who is supported by the opposition alliance INDIA and the Aam Aadmi Party. Tewari, a former MP from Anandpur Sahib and Ludhiana, is a key contender in this race.

With the final phase of the Lok Sabha elections scheduled for June 1 and results expected on June 4, the political landscape of Chandigarh is set to witness a significant change. Sandhu’s impassioned plea for voter participation reflects the importance of every citizen’s role in shaping the future of the nation.
