Reading Time: < 1 minute

Samsung is set to revolutionize the health and fitness tracking game with new AI-based features coming to the Galaxy Watch later this year. The tech giant announced a slew of on-device AI upgrades on Wednesday, including personalized health scores, sleep indicators, and suggested workout routines.

One of the standout features of the Galaxy Watch’s AI enhancements is the Energy Score, which utilizes personal metrics to provide comprehensive health insights. By analyzing sleep data, physical activity, and heart rate variability, the watch will offer users a deeper understanding of their overall health.

Additionally, the Galaxy Watch will introduce Wellness Tips, offering personalized insights, motivational tips, and guidance tailored to individual fitness goals. The device will also enhance its sleep tracking capabilities with new algorithms that analyze sleep movement, heart rate, and respiratory rate, providing users with a more detailed look at their nightly habits.

For fitness enthusiasts, the Galaxy Watch will introduce new heart rate zone metrics for runners and cyclists, as well as a Workout Routine feature that allows users to seamlessly transition between different exercises. A new Race feature will challenge users to beat their previous times on a set route.

Samsung hinted that the Galaxy Watch may not be the only device receiving these AI-based health features, teasing potential integrations across its Galaxy portfolio. The new features are set to arrive in the One UI 6 Watch update later this year, with a beta program for select Watch owners starting in June. Stay tuned for more updates on Samsung’s innovative health and fitness offerings.
