San Francisco’s conservative crypto bros contribute $12 million to Trump’s campaign

Former President Donald Trump made headlines once again as he raised an impressive $12 million in a single night during a fundraising event in San Francisco. The event, hosted by tech venture capitalists, aimed to attract wealthy conservative-leaning investors from Silicon Valley.

The exclusive reception and gala dinner were held at the home of husband-and-wife David and Jacqueline Sacks in the upscale Pacific Heights neighborhood. Tickets for the event were priced at $500,000 per couple, with the final fundraising total confirmed by Republican National Committeewoman Harmeet Dhillon.

Attendees at the event included prominent figures from the cryptocurrency community, such as the Winklevoss twins, Tyler and Cameron, who engaged in discussions about the sector’s future amidst increased regulatory scrutiny.

The event also saw the presence of Ohio senator JD Vance, a potential running mate for Trump, and North Dakota governor Doug Burgum. Vance, who has ties to the tech industry, played a role in connecting Sacks and Palihapitiya with the former president.

This fundraising success comes on the heels of the Trump campaign’s announcement of raising $141 million in May, following the former president’s legal troubles. Trump has been actively engaging with conservative media outlets and recently appeared on Dr. Phil McGraw’s web show to share his grievances and conspiracy narratives.

As Trump continues to navigate the political landscape, his ability to attract significant financial support and engage with influential tech investors highlights his enduring influence in the Republican party and beyond.
