Sana Khan has impacted the lives of 10,000 underprivileged children through education

Sana Khan, a 47-year-old social activist, has been making a significant impact through her NGO, the Rahat Foundation, which she established in 2010. Over the past 14 years, the foundation has been working tirelessly to help women school dropouts in states like Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Maharashtra.

Sana Khan’s main focus is on getting these school dropouts back into the education system. She has successfully rehabilitated 2,000 dropout children, providing them with opportunities to complete their education through the Jamia’s open school of National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS).

Moreover, the Rahat Foundation goes beyond just education by imparting skills training to these women. Courses in digital marketing, fashion designing, and even driving have been offered, leading to job placements for many beneficiaries. Sana Khan proudly mentions that her NGO has employed around 10,000 young men and women who acquired different skills through their programs.

Sana Khan’s journey from facing financial difficulties in her childhood to creating a successful NGO that impacts thousands of lives is truly inspiring. She ensures that all beneficiaries are well taken care of, arranging exam fees, books, and occasional fundraisers to support their needs.

With a dedicated team of 70 individuals, Sana Khan plans to expand the Rahat Foundation’s reach to Bangalore, Karnataka, and continue organizing awareness camps to promote education in society. Her relentless efforts have not gone unnoticed, as she has received numerous awards and recognition for her outstanding work, including during the challenging times of the Covid-19 pandemic.
