The senior went 4 for 5 at the plate, hitting two doubles, a grand slam, and driving in seven runs. Not only did Anderson excel offensively, but he also pitched a complete game, using just 85 pitches to scatter seven hits, strike out six, and not issue a single walk.
James Love also contributed to the Tigers’ offensive explosion, going 2 for 3 with a home run and three RBIs. The win improved Joliet West’s record to 14-3, showcasing their dominance on both sides of the ball.
In other baseball action, Jake Troyner’s 2 for 3 performance with two RBIs helped Joliet Catholic Academy in a 7-4 loss to Nazareth. Meanwhile, Lincoln-Way Central cruised to a 12-2 victory over Batavia behind Liam Arsich’s two home runs and four RBIs.
On the softball diamond, Plainfield Central defeated Lakes 7-2 with Jamie leading the way with a 3 for 4 performance and 13 strikeouts in the circle. Lemont secured an 8-6 win over Oswego, powered by Avaree Taylor’s home run and two RBIs.
In boys volleyball, Lincoln-Way East emerged victorious in the Midwest Battle Tourney, while Lincoln-Way West finished second in the Gold bracket at the Wheaton Warrenville South Tiger Classic.
