Patrice Mousseau, the founder of North Vancouver skincare brand Satya Organics, recently visited Sherwood Park Elementary school to teach students about entrepreneurship in a hands-on workshop. Mousseau, who is an Anishinaabe member of the Fort William First Nation, shared her journey of success with the students and encouraged them to explore their own entrepreneurial aspirations.

During the workshop, Mousseau guided the students in using natural ingredients to create salves and bath bombs, while also providing valuable insights into the world of business. The Grade 6 students were inspired by Mousseau’s story and gained a better understanding of the financial aspects of starting a business.

Mousseau’s own journey began in 2012 when she started crafting skincare products at home in response to her daughter’s eczema diagnosis. What started as a small project eventually grew into a multinational business with products now available in thousands of stores across Canada, the U.S., and Hong Kong.

The workshop not only taught the students about entrepreneurship but also instilled in them the belief that anyone can start a business with perseverance and dedication. Mousseau’s message of empowerment and accessibility in the business world left a lasting impact on the students, inspiring them to pursue their own entrepreneurial dreams.

Overall, the workshop was a success in empowering the next generation of entrepreneurs and showcasing the possibilities that lie ahead for those willing to take the leap into the world of business.
