SBA Workshop Provides Essential Business Assistance

Reading Time: < 1 minute

A devastating tornado outbreak on March 14 wreaked havoc on several counties in Ohio, leaving many businesses in ruins. In response to this tragedy, the Small Business Administration’s Office of Disaster Recovery and Resilience (ODR&R) has teamed up with the Ohio Small Business Development Center (SBDC) to provide crucial assistance to affected business owners.

The organizations are hosting a workshop on May 22, aimed at helping businesses rebuild and recover from the destruction caused by the tornadoes. The event will feature Operation Hope and offer a wide range of services including one-on-one counseling, finance education, business mentorship, marketing services, and more.

Francisco Sánchez, Jr., associate administrator for the SBA’s Office of Disaster Recovery and Resilience, stressed the importance of the workshop in helping businesses navigate the recovery process. He highlighted the opportunity for business owners to connect with specialists, apply for SBA disaster loans, and access a network of resources.

The workshop is open to small businesses, non-profit organizations, and the entrepreneurial community, providing a platform for networking and gaining valuable resource information. Businesses affected by the tornadoes are encouraged to apply for SBA’s physical damage and economic injury disaster assistance by the specified deadlines.

This collaborative effort aims to support businesses in Ohio as they work towards rebuilding and recovering from the devastating tornado outbreak.
