Rapper and singer Sean Kingston and his mother, Janice Turner, are facing serious charges of fraud and theft after allegedly committing over a million dollars in crimes in recent months. The duo has been accused of stealing money, jewelry, a Cadillac Escalade, and even furniture, according to documents released by the Broward County Sheriff’s Office.

The arrests of Kingston, 34, and Turner, 61, came after a SWAT team raided Kingston’s rented mansion in suburban Fort Lauderdale. Turner was arrested during the raid, while Kingston was apprehended at an Army training base in the Mojave Desert where he was performing.

Kingston, known for hits like “Beautiful Girls” and “Eenie Meenie,” is currently being held at the High Desert Detention Center in Adelanto, awaiting his return to Florida. His mother is being held at the Broward County jail on a $160,000 bond.

The charges against Kingston and Turner include conducting an organized scheme to defraud, grand theft, identity theft, and other related crimes. Their attorney, Robert Rosenblatt, expressed confidence in a successful resolution for his clients.

Specific details of the alleged crimes have not been disclosed, but the warrants indicate that the pair stole significant amounts from various sources, including banks, jewelry stores, and car dealerships. This is not the first time Turner has faced legal trouble, as she previously pleaded guilty to bank fraud in 2006.

The case has also involved lawsuits against Kingston and his mother in the past, including a recent dispute with a Florida entertainment systems company over an unpaid bill for a massive television installation. The company alleges that Kingston used false promises involving Justin Bieber to secure credit and never followed through on his commitments.

As the legal proceedings unfold, the music industry is left shocked by the allegations against the once-popular artist and his mother.
