Sean Kingston’s Mother Released on Bail Following Fraud and Theft Charges

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Janice Turner, the mother of singer Sean Kingston, found herself in hot water after being arrested in a raid at her son’s Florida home. Turner was taken into custody on charges of fraud and theft, facing a total of 8 charges including conducting an organized scheme to defraud, grand theft, and identity theft. After spending four days behind bars, Turner was bailed out following her bail hearing and posted a $160,000 bond for her release.

Interestingly, just a few hours after Turner’s arrest, her son Sean Kingston was also arrested on the same warrant, but on the other coast in Fort Irwin, CA. Authorities apprehended him immediately after a performance and he has been sitting in San Bernardino County jail awaiting his extradition hearing back to Florida.

The allegations against Turner and Kingston are serious, with authorities claiming that over a 6-month period, they stole nearly $500K in jewelry, over $200K from Bank of America, $160K from a car dealer, $100K from First Republic Bank, and even $86K for a customized bed. The raid at Sean’s home resulted in the confiscation of several items, including a $150K LED TV screen.

As the legal proceedings unfold, the Turner-Kingston family saga continues to capture headlines and intrigue fans. Stay tuned for updates on this developing story.
