The Youngsville Eagles soared to a 15-5 victory over the Iroquois Braves on Senior Day at Davis Street Field in Youngsville. The team’s six seniors, Matt DeSimone, Nathan Lucks, Wyatt Dalrymple, Lane Buccardo, Alex Patch, and Gavin Bundy, led the charge in the win.

Despite a rocky start with Iroquois taking an early 2-0 lead, the Eagles quickly turned the game around. DeSimone, Talon Mesel, and Lucks all contributed key hits to tie the game in the first inning. From there, the Eagles never looked back.

The offensive onslaught continued with Beers and DeSimone hitting back-to-back triples in the second inning, extending the lead to 9-2. DeSimone continued his hot streak with a two-run double in the third inning, solidifying the Eagles’ lead.

Although Iroquois managed to score a few runs, Youngsville’s defense held strong. Manning, Dalrymple, and DeSimone combined to pitch a solid game, not allowing any earned runs.

The game ended in the sixth inning via the 10-run rule, with Youngsville sealing the victory at 15-5. Mesel had a perfect 4 for 4 game, while DeSimone, Lucks, Dalrymple, and Beers all contributed multiple hits.

With this win, Youngsville improves to 8-2 on the season and looks ahead to their next matchup against Cochranton. The Eagles are determined to continue their winning ways and make their seniors’ last season a memorable one.
