Senior Day Match Between EKU Women’s Tennis and FGCU to be Hosted

The Eastern Kentucky University women’s tennis team is gearing up for an exciting Senior Day match against FGCU. The Colonels, with a record of 9-15, will honor their senior players Elena Tairian, Daniela Hernandez, Emmeline Polevoi, and captain Madison Hill in a special ceremony following the match.

EKU, led by Emmeline Polevoi in singles play, has had victories against Bellarmine and Queens in ASUN Conference play this season. Marilou Cote and Masha Fedenko have also been key players for the team, with impressive wins in singles matches. In doubles, Cote leads the team with 10 wins from all three spots in the lineup.

On the other side, FGCU comes into the match with a 10-8 record, led by Isabella Colmenares in singles play. The Eagles have secured victories against several ASUN Conference opponents this season, including Bellarmine, Queens, and North Florida.
