Jeffers High School in Painesdale recently announced their Outstanding Senior Award winners, with Sara Johnson and Levi Frahm taking home the prestigious Kujula Award. The Kujula Award is given to the top senior athletes at Jeffers High School each year, recognizing their exceptional performance in multiple sports throughout their high school careers.
Sara Johnson, a standout in both volleyball and basketball, has had an impressive athletic career at Jeffers. She earned numerous accolades, including All-Conference and All-State honors in both sports. Johnson played a key role in leading the Jeffers volleyball team to a District Championship in 2022 and a Conference Championship in 2023. She also set several school records in volleyball, showcasing her talent and dedication to the sport.
Levi Frahm, on the other hand, has left a lasting impact on the Jeffers sports program with his outstanding performance in basketball and baseball. Frahm holds multiple school records in basketball and has been recognized as the Copper Mountain Conference Player of the Year for two consecutive seasons. He played a pivotal role in leading the Jeffers boys basketball team to unprecedented success, including their first-ever Division 4 regional championship in 2023.
In addition to his basketball achievements, Frahm also excelled in baseball, helping the team win their first regional championship in 2023. His contributions on the field have been instrumental in the team’s success, earning him multiple All-Conference honors and the Pitcher of the Year award in 2022.
